2. General information on data processing

I process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website as well as my content and services. Processing regularly takes place only with consent or when permitted by statutory provisions. This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics. No third-party content is loaded.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with the hosting provider. The host processes data exclusively in data centres within the Federal Republic of Germany.

4. Provision of the website and server log files

On every visit the host automatically records information transmitted by your browser (server log files). This typically includes:

• browser type and version
• operating system used
• referrer URL (the previously visited page)
• hostname of the accessing computer
• time of the server request
• IP address

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in error-free and secure operation of the website). Retention: normally no more than 7 days. This data is not combined with other data sources.

5. Fonts (self-hosted)

This website uses the typefaces "Source Serif 4", "IBM Plex Sans" and "IBM Plex Mono". The font files are served exclusively by the host named above (Germany). There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party provider. Your IP address is not transmitted to third-party servers.

6. Contact by email

This website does not operate a contact form. Contact requests are made exclusively via the email address shown. The "Send email" button opens your local email client (mailto link). No data is transmitted or stored via this website in the process.

If you write to me by email, your information (sender address, content) is stored for the purpose of processing your request and for potential follow-up questions. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your request). I delete this data as soon as storage is no longer necessary, at the latest after expiry of statutory retention periods.

7. Local storage in the browser (LocalStorage)

This website uses browser LocalStorage exclusively for one technically necessary function:

• cd-dismissed — remembers that you have dismissed the countdown banner at the top so it is not shown again on your next visit.

No personal data is stored. Storage is local to your browser only and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings. Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary).

8. Links to third parties

This website contains links to external services (in particular LinkedIn). These links do not load third-party content onto this website. Only when you actively click the link are you forwarded to the third party's website. The respective privacy policies of those providers then apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• information about your personal data stored by me (Art. 15 GDPR)
• correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• deletion of your data stored by me (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
• withdrawal of a given consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf (ldi.nrw.de).

10. Changes to this privacy policy

I reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy occasionally so that it always complies with current legal requirements. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit. The version valid at the time of access is authoritative.
